Based in Dublin, Bowler Bentley Recruitment sources exceptional healthcare, supply chain and pharmaceutical professionals across Ireland, the UK, UAE, US, and Europe.
Kevin Bowler and Marc Bentley co-founded Bowler Bentley Recruitment. After working together at another agency where they both built specialist desks from scratch, they decided to partner and set up independently. Marc Bentley’s expertise lies in pharmaceutical and supply chain; over the years, he has built a solid client base spanning from pharmacovigilance to clinical. Before focusing on 360 recruitment, Marc worked at an operational level for large blue-chip companies, where he was heavily involved in talent development and mentoring. Bowler Bentley Recruitment will cover the broad range of skill sets across all scientific and commercial disciplines, ranging from Research & Development to Sales & Marketing.
Kevin Bowler brings with him over 20 years working within the healthcare sector, not only recruiting but also within financial and technological capacities. He’s worked closely with the HSE and NHS, as well as multiple private organisations. Bowler Bentley covers a wide range of nursing areas, from cardiology and oncology to ER. Their primary objectives are to respect their candidates and understand their clients.
Marc and Kevin have joined forces to become the go-to recruitment partner for clients and candidates underneath the healthcare, supply chain and pharmaceutical umbrella. Regarding healthcare recruitment, Kevin Bowler said, “I always knew I was going to end up recruiting doctors and nurses – it’s not just a business to me, but a passion for helping the healthcare sector. I realised there was a real shortage of healthcare professionals in Ireland, and I wanted to play a role in changing that. My goal with Bowler Bentley Recruitment is to not only source quality professionals domestically, but also attract international talent to come and work in Ireland.”
On the launch of Bowler Bentley Recruitment, Marc Bentley said, “I’ve had my sights set on starting my own business for a long time. When you work for other companies, you imagine how you’d do things differently, and I’m excited to now realise this vision with Bowler Bentley Recruitment. Following Brexit, the Irish market is somewhat of an untapped resource. As the last English-speaking nation in Europe, many companies are now relocating their centre of excellence or HQ here, which opens up many opportunities within pharma. I’m lucky to have already formed meaningful relationships with many of these key clients prior to them coming to Ireland, giving Bowler Bentley Recruitment an advantage as we move through 2021.”
Chairman James Caan CBE commented, “The past year proved how important it is to have outstanding healthcare and pharmaceutical professionals in place. Bowler Bentley Recruitment will undoubtedly play a crucial role in changing the talent landscape of these industries, not just in Ireland but globally. I wanted to invest in them because of their singular drive to provide a good service and the passion they have for their respective niches. They’re certainly the ones to watch in this space, and I look forward to working with them as they build their brand.”
CEO of Recruitment Entrepreneur, Abid Hamid added, “Bowler Bentley Recruitment is a fantastic addition to our portfolio and growing Dublin hub. We first expanded to Ireland in 2017 and have seen great success with our investments there ever since. As a portfolio, we already have a good standing and track-record in the healthcare, supply chain and pharma industries, having invested in several UK-based businesses in these spaces. Over the past year, we’ve seen a significant increase in group collaboration, with portfolio partners working in tandem to fulfil clients’ needs where there’s a crossover in offering and expertise. Being able to leverage this group capability is a huge asset for any start-up, and I’m excited to see the direction in which Marc and Kevin take their business.”
